Bortles, Garoppolo and Cohen among top fantasy football free-agent finds for Week 15

If you're reading this column still, you're inching closer to the championship. Whether you won the first round of your playoffs in Week 14, are in the second week of a two-week semifinal or if you earned a first round bye, you've made it this far and deserve praise for as much. The reality for most people that have made it this far is that you're not going to rock the boat with your lineup all that much -- trust your studs, play them each week.

Week 14 brought the all-too-uncommon reality of football in the form of a season-ending injury to MVP-frontrunner Carson Wentz, who suffered the left knee injury in a thrilling win over the Los Angeles Rams. Philadelphia's quarterback may have been the primary reason your squad has made it this far -- he's been just that good.

You'll have to find a replacement for Wentz, and we'll note that while this column overviews players that are available in more than 50 percent of leagues, a few names that are available in over a third of leagues on ESPN.com at the quarterback spot include Aaron Rodgers, Case Keenum and Jameis Winston. The clear priority would be to add Rodgers, who is eligible to play in Week 15 and would be a top-five option if he indeed does suit up.

Provided Rodgers is not available in your leagues, finding a quarterback to fill-in for Wentz at the level he was playing is no easy task, but we'll get a couple of options in the column below as well as other names of note to consider adding to your roster this week.

Here's the Week 15 ESPN Fantasy waiver wire column.

Note: Players rostered in more than 50 percent of leagues are not considered eligible to appear in this column.

Blake Bortles, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars (20.3 percent): While there are few quarterbacks that are readily available right now that meet the criteria for this column, Bortles does and has been really fantasy efficient of late: He has 18.9 fantasy points in three straight games and at least 16 points in six of his past seven games. Next up? A modest Houston defense. Bortles is a streaming option for Week 15.

Wayne Gallman, RB, New York Giants (1.9 percent): Among the changes in Week 14 for the Giants with Ben McAdoo no longer as the head coach was a more prominent role for Gallman, who had 16.9 points in points per reception scoring with a seven catch, 40 yards and 12 rushes for 59 yards effort. He's a reasonable bet to continue to stay busy as the Giants evaluate towards their future. He's a smart add for 12 teams or larger for anyone looking for running back depth.

Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, San Francisco 49ers (23.6 percent): The 49ers' new starter has breathed life into this offense, guiding the team to two straight wins. He has thrown for 627 yards in two starts and now faces his best matchup for the rest of the season in the Titans in Week 15. For someone looking to replace Wentz, he's another streaming option who could crack the top 15 rankings in Week 15. He has been terrific for San Francisco.

Marquise Goodwin, WR, San Francisco 49ers (40.5 percent): Among the biggest beneficiaries of Garoppolo starting in San Francisco has been Goodwin, who has 14 catches for 205 yards on 20 targets in Garoppolo's two starts. Goodwin has incredible speed and with a relative lack of pass catchers in San Francisco, his volume is too good to ignore. He's an add for any size league.

Dede Westbrook, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars (15.8 percent): The rookie has been really good over the past three weeks, as he has a total of 16 catches during that time. Beyond that, he scored his first touchdown in Week 14 against a tough Seattle defense. If you play in a 12 team or larger league, especially with PPR scoring, Westbrook is a flex consideration.

Kerwynn Williams, RB, Arizona Cardinals (19.9 percent): With two straight start, Williams has proven to be capable to handle an expanded workload for the Cardinals. He has 36 carries for 170 yards in relief of Adrian Peterson and figures to keep his starting role if Peterson is unable to play in Week 15. He's an add that has value in 12 team or larger leagues, specifically those that involve non-PPR scoring.

Mike Davis, RB, Seattle Seahawks (24.6 percent): With another start, Davis has further shown himself to be a capable back for Seattle. He had 15 carries in Week 14 for 66 yards, giving him 31 carries for 128 yards over the past two games. He had just a single catch in Week 14, but given the difficulty in finding running back depth right now, Davis brings some solid value for anyone looking for a back in 12 team or larger leagues.

Corey Coleman, WR, Cleveland Browns (23.2 percent): While Josh Gordon continues to draw the headlines in Cleveland with good reason, Coleman is also a wide receiver with promise. While he went catchless in Week 13, Coleman has at least 9.4 points in PPR scoring in the other three games since he returned from a hand injury. In a deeper league or a 12 team league in which you start three wide receivers, Coleman has value.

Tarik Cohen, RB, Chicago Bears (42.5 percent): A midseason lull has Cohen back over 50 percent available, which was caused by his lack of consistent usage in the Chicago offense. That is understandable, as he has more than six total touches in just two of his last seven games. So here's the play on Cohen: If you're in a deep league and are looking for a PPR flex option, Cohen is usable. Chicago had perhaps its best offensive showing of the year in Week 14 and might find something to build off of.

Trey Burton, TE, Philadelphia Eagles (11.1 percent): If Zach Ertz returns from a concussion in Week 15, Burton's value takes a dip. But as we saw in Week 14, with Ertz out, he's a totally viable tight end play. Burton, a versatile and talented player, hauled in two touchdowns this past weekend against the Rams. He'll likely crack our top 15 rankings if Ertz is unable to play.

Rod Smith, RB, Dallas Cowboys (27.4 percent): The good from Smith was evident on Sunday: He posted a career day with 33 fantasy points, led by an 81-yard touchdown catch. The trickier part is this: Alfred Morris is still the likelier bet to lead the team in rushes in Week 15 and Ezekiel Elliott is set to return in Week 16. But, for Week 15, he's an add to consider in a deeper league with PPR scoring.
