Dalvin Cook went through individual drills and did work on the rehab field when the team got together for 11 on 11, etc. Mike Zimmer said Cook was "ahead of schedule" with his rehab last week and could see some action during the latter portion of OTAs around the time of mandatory minicamp. "I think he'll probably get some work and then should be ready to roll for training camp," Zimmer said.

Mike Zimmer was asked about the NFL's national anthem policy that passed today and what he wants his team to adhere to: "I was proud of my team last year. They stood for the anthem. I think it's important that we stand for the anthem. I think it's important that we represent our country the right way, the flag the right way. I probably shouldn't get on a tangent, right? But a lot of people have died for that flag and that flag represents our country and what we stand for. I think that's important. I'll stop there."

Per Field Yates, after Brian Robison announced his intentions to come back for a 12th season, the veteran DE agreed to reduce his base salary from $3.2M to $1.015M. In total, his cap number drops by $2,382,500, as he qualifies for the veteran MSB. He was scheduled to earn $200K in per game roster bonuses and $100K in a workout bonus, but he now will earn just a $90K roster bonus.

The Minnesota Vikings will host a joint practice during training camp with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Aug. 15 and 16 ahead of their first home preseason game at U.S. Bank Stadium on the 18th. Both practices are open to the public and require tickets for admission, which are available to fans on Vikings.com. The last time Minnesota hosted a joint practice with a preseason opponent was in 2007 with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Vikings made another depth addition to the defensive line today with the signing of DT David Parry, who spent the 2017 season with the Saints and visited Minnesota last week. It's an important signing at a critical spot. Behind Linval Joseph and Sheldon Richardson, the Vikings will use training camp to find the best rotation for the interior of the D-line between Parry, Jaleel Johnson and Jalyn Holmes. To make room for Parry on the 90-man roster, Minnesota cut DT Dylan Bradley, who was a practice squad member in 2017.

Vikings signed four tryout players after rookie minicamp over the weekend: WR Chad Beebe, CB Craig James, FB Johnny Stanton (former UNLV QB who was listed as a TE at rookie camp) and LB Brett Taylor. To make room on the 90 man roster, Minnesota waived LS Nick Dooley, WR Armanti Foreman, DT Caushaud Lyons and FB Kamryn Pettway.

A few observations minicamp observations: 1. Tyler Conklin had some impressive grabs, eager to benefit from John DeFilippo's offensive philosophy that relies on TE movement. 2. Mike Hughes got work in at slot corner and returned several punts. Also working on punt returns were Armanti Foreman & Jeff Badet. 3. There's going to be some good competition in the Vikings secondary this training camp. Aside from Hughes, CB Holton Hill and safety Tray Matthews look like they could contend for a roster spot.

Mike Hughes got some work in at slot corner today. Hasn't played a lot inside and says he's adjusting to knowing where his help is, run fits, etc. Mike Zimmer said when Hughes was drafted that he expects to start him on the outside and work his way in as it's easier for rookies to adjust to an NFL secondary that way. If it keeps up, Hughes could end up challenging Mackensie Alexander for the nickel corner position come August.
