Jaguars to sign guard John Miller after putting two on IR

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jaguars are signing veteran offensive guard John Miller, agent Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Tuesday.

Miller, a third-round pick by the Buffalo Bills in 2015, has started 84 games in seven seasons with the Bills, Cincinnati Bengals and Carolina Panthers. The Jaguars needed a veteran lineman after placing starting left guard Ben Bartch on injured reserve Tuesday because of a knee injury.

The Jaguars also placed reserve outside linebacker K'Lavon Chaisson on injured reserve with a knee injury.

Bartch and Chaisson were hurt in Sunday's 13-7 loss to the Houston Texans. They must miss a minimum of four games, so the earliest they could return would be the Week 10 game at the Kansas City Chiefs.

Nine-year veteran Tyler Shatley stepped in for Bartch after the injury and is expected to remain the starter in his absence. Chaisson, the No. 20 overall pick in 2020, has two sacks and 53 tackles in 35 career games.

In addition, the Jaguars released defensive tackle Israel Antwine from the practice squad.
