Bears agree to re-sign Connor Barth

The Chicago Bears agreed to re-sign kicker Connor Barth to a one-year contract, the team announced Tuesday.

Barth, 30, joined the Bears before Week 1 last year after the club released longtime kicker Robbie Gould.

After a couple of early misses, he settled in to finish 18-of-23 on field goal attempts and missed just one PAT conversion -- only his second miss in 207 career attempts.

A nine-year NFL veteran, Barth has converted on 84 percent of his 187 career field goal attempts while kicking for Kansas City, Miami, Tampa Bay, Denver and New Orleans before signing with the Bears.

ESPN's Jeff Dickerson contributed to this report.
