Fantasy basketball tips and projections for Tuesday

With collegiate titles decided and Monday's day off in the NBA behind us, we are presented with a mammoth 14-game slate for Tuesday. Only the Brooklyn Nets and Cleveland Cavaliers are inactive today, with fantasy managers having 28 rosters and rotations to decipher.

As we've discussed throughout the season, we should leverage easily accessible indicators to help sift such busy slates. Leaning on injury reports and betting info to help direct us to the most actionable player pickups and the most fertile offensive climates. Who is missing from lineups can drive decisions, while point spreads and totals can sharpen insights into how game conditions might foster fantasy outcomes.

For instance, the Toronto Raptors visit the Indiana Pacers in a game with the day's highest total of 238.5 points at ESPN BET. With an expectation for added points and possessions, this is not only a rich offensive environment for DFS lineups, but we also find several useful and widely available players from this contest present in the streaming section below.

This theme continues in a marquee meeting between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers, a game with a total of 234.5 points, second highest of the slate. We also have some games that appear less appealing based on betting indicators, such as the six contests tonight that have spreads of at least a dozen points. The premise being blowouts can create unideal playing time scenarios on both sides.

In regards to injury influence, we find the continued absence of LaMelo Ball meaningful to the value of EuroLeague legend Vasilije Micic (5.8% rostered in ESPN leagues). After all, Micic paces the entire NBA in assists over the past five games. With the Memphis Grizzlies sitting a long list of players, those in deeper leagues or those seeking prop market gems can look to Scotty Pippen Jr. (4.0%) and Jordan Goodwin (5.1%) as key alternatives.

Lean on our list of streaming endorsements and BPI calculations to help prepare for you for one of the final massive slates of the NBA marathon.

Tuesday's Stream Team

Dalano Banton, PG, Portland Trail Blazers (Rostered in 15.5% of ESPN leagues)

A true bucket, Banton has scored at least 21 points in five of his past seven games. With the freedom to find his own shot and growing success supporting his teammates on offense, Banton is the rare player worth riding with on a heavy underdog team.

Vasilije Micic, PG/SG, Charlotte Hornets (5.8%)

The aforementioned veteran guard has been downright elite in pick-and-roll creation of late. The potential for a double-double is quite high, as are his prospects to surpass assist props. For those in need of a late surge in passing production, this is your guy.

Wendell Carter Jr. C, Orlando Magic (48.1%)

A solid floor for production defines Carter's profile, as he's rarely going to wow you with a high scoring ceiling, but he does bring double-double potential to the floor against an undersized Houston frontcourt this evening.

Scotty Pippen Jr., PG, Memphis Grizzlies (4.0%)

Goodwin has been special as a rebounder for the Grizzlies from the backcourt, but the more valuable contributions come from Pippen and his ability to create for himself and others. A strong steal rate makes him a multi-category asset for this final week.

Julian Champagnie, SG/SF, San Antonio Spurs (1.0%)

Injuries to the Spurs' backcourt and perimeter crew result in increased usage for Champagnie. He has taken the workload and thrived in recent games, producing stellar steal, block, and shooting rates from the wing.
