Tom Brady gifts WNBA star Kelsey Plum a signed Tampa Bay Buccaneers jersey

Las Vegas Aces star Kelsey Plum is having an exceptional year in the WNBA, averaging career highs in points, assists and field goal percentage. Her breakout season has caught the attention of numerous fans, including Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady.

After watching her play in person earlier this season, the seven-time Super Bowl champ showed his respect by sending her a gift package with some sweet gear. Plum posted a video to her Instagram story Friday showing off the contents, which included a Brady Buccaneers jersey signed by TB12. She also received some products from Brady's TB12 brand.

Brady saw the video of Plum's reaction to the package and responded with a shoutout on Twitter.

Plum is a self-proclaimed Brady fan, and she made quite the impression on him when they met on May 31. Brady sat courtside for the Aces' game against the Connecticut Sun, and Plum knew she had to make their interaction memorable.

"They were like ... he's sitting in Gucci row [courtside seats at the Michelob ULTRA Arena]. And I was like, 'say less,'" Plum said during the postgame news conference.

So as Plum walked out of the tunnel for the second half, she greeted Brady and then barked at him, citing his gritty attitude and competitive edge.

"I dapped him up, I gave him a big hug. I was like man you're a dog, I love you, 'woof woof!' He looked at me and he was like 'yeah,' so we connected," Plum said of Brady's reaction to the gesture.

Plum's play this year resulted in her first All-Star nod, where she earned MVP honors after dropping 30 points. It tied former Minnesota Lynx forward Maya Moore for the most in an All-Star Game in WNBA history.
