The Ravens add a much-needed backup offensive lineman, bringing back Tony Bergstrom. Baltimore was down to six healthy lineman before re-signing Bergstrom, who was initially acquired in a trade with the Arizona Cardinals. The Ravens waived cornerback Tony McRae.

Week 7 NFL score predictions: Ravens at Vikings

A struggling Baltimore offense heads on the road to face a Minnesota coaching staff that has historically defended Joe Flacco well. That won't be a good combination for the Ravens.

Ravens rule out five players: WR Breshad Perriman, RB Terrance West, OL Matt Skura, TE Maxx Williams and LB Tim Williams. In total, 16 players are on the injury report for Sunday's game in Minnesota. That's 30 percent of the 53-man roster.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said he likes the chances of defensive tackle Brandon Williams playing Sunday in Minnesota. Williams, who's been out the past four games with a foot injury, will test out the foot during pre-game warmups to make sure he's ready to play. "So far in practice, so good," Harbaugh said of Williams, who's been a full participant all week.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh didn't seem too concerned about the amount of injuries at wide receiver. He pointed out how Mike Wallace and Jeremy Maclin have practiced this week. "We're pretty hopeful with those guys," Harbaugh said. "But it's hard to predict."

Ravens wide receiver Mike Wallace is walking off practice field. It looks like he did participate in some capacity. Wallace was absent during the media viewing portion of practice. He's dealing with a back injury.

Ravens owner: Confident in coach, GM, QB

Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti said "short-term thinkers" would not shake his confidence in John Harbaugh, Ozzie Newsome and Joe Flacco.

Seven Ravens are not practicing Friday; WRs Mike Wallace, Breshad Perriman and Chris Matthews; RB Terrance West; TE Maxx Williams; OL Matt Skura; and LB Tim Williams. There were three players who returned to practice: TE Ben Watson, CB Jimmy Smith and DB Lardarius Webb.

Ravens wide receiver Mike Wallace misses second straight practice with back injury. He said he expects to play, but his absence Friday increases uncertainty. Wallace is among three Ravens receivers sidelined Friday. Breshad Perriman (concussion) and Chris Matthews (thigh) were the others.

FPI: Vikings hold major edge over Ravens

In a battle of the only two teams in the league who wear purple, ESPN's FPI leans heavily toward the home team, giving the Vikings a 3-1 advantage. Only one Week 7 matchup is more lopsided.

Ravens defensive coordinator Dean Pees was defiant about the play of the NFL's No. 16 defense: "We just can't give up the big play. It is still the bottom line; I'm still not trying to excuse that. But I'm just saying I'm not doom and gloom. I am not going to buy into that crap. We are a pretty good damn defense, and if we quit giving up big plays, we will be a damn good one statistically. Enough said."

Ravens defensive tackle Brandon Williams was a full participant for the second straight practice. Nine players didn't practice, and that included virtually every position except quarterback and defensive line.

Ravens wide receiver Mike Wallace expects to play Sunday at Minnesota after missing practice Thursday. "My back is a little sore," Wallace said. "It's like a bone bruise. It should be fine for Sunday." Wallace took a helmet to the back in last Sunday's loss to Chicago. One of the most durable receivers in the league, he's missed one game in his nine seasons.

Good news for Ravens is the return of left tackle Ronnie Stanley (mouth), who didn't practice Wednesday. Bad news: A total of 10 players not practicing for Baltimore: WRs Mike Wallace (back), Breshad Perriman (concussion), Chris Matthews (undisclosed); TEs Ben Watson (calf) and Maxx Williams (ankle); RB Terrance West (calf); CBs Jimmy Smith (Achilles) and Lardarius Webb (undisclosed); OL Matt Skura (knee); and LB Tim Williams (hamstring). Two players are wearing red (non contact) jerseys: WR Jeremy Maclin (shoulder) and LB C.J. Mosley (undisclosed).

Ravens wide receiver Mike Wallace (back) is not practicing Thursday after being limited the previous day. Jeremy Maclin (shoulder) is still wearing red jersey, signifying no contact. Baltimore down to three healthy receivers: Michael Campanaro. Chris Moore and the newly signed Griff Whalen.

Ravens announce the re-signing of Griff Whalen, who had been with the team in the preseason. The addition of Whalen comes at a time when Baltimore's top three receivers are on the injury report. Breshad Perriman likely won't play Sunday because he's in the concussion protocol and Jeremy Maclin (shoulder) and Mike Wallace (back) were limited in practice Wednesday. Baltimore cut offensive lineman Tony Bergstrom to make room for Whalen.
