Hawks, Trail Blazers lead creative NBA schedule release

NBA

The 2018-19 NBA schedule was released in full on Friday. Teams took the opportunity presented by the big reveal to showcase their 82 games and made it a special viewing experience.

Some were more impressive than others. So in no particular order, let's take a look at some strong executions of the new schedule:

Atlanta Hawks

The Hawks went next level, putting out an entire Spotify playlist for their schedule:

That's just fantastic. You have Meek Mill serving as the Philadelphia matchup, "King Kunta" for a visit from the Kings, and Michael Jackson for the finale against Indiana. Appreciate the Hawks, the team that was thoughtful enough to gift an unworn jersey this week.

Denver Nuggets

The Nuggets put SuperMascot Rocky to work, having him power up like Pac-Man to get through Denver's schedule.

Toronto Raptors

A montage through The 6 is how the Raptors introduced key dates on their schedule for next season. Keep an eye out on the train and the bus for the reunion dates.

Portland Trail Blazers

Oregon Trail Blazers. Of course, Portland also acknowledged that there are some players changing colors next season:

Brooklyn Nets

The Nets were kind enough to assist the Blazers with their offseason movement project. A quick view of Brooklyn is also a fine way of displaying the home schedule at Barclays Center:

Chicago Bulls

The Bulls wanted to show the "L" as a theme of their NBA schedule. The only thing missing in the Bulls' tribute to the Chicago Transit Authority was a cameo from Peter Cetera or Robert Lamm:

Utah Jazz

You won't find Utah's schedule on its Instagram stories. But the Jazz will bring the #Nightlife!

Detroit Pistons

Hooper, Detroit's mascot, is probably going to spend the rest of the month showing his disgruntled attitude toward any mention of the rest of the league.

Golden State Warriors

The defending champions incorporated elements from various social media platforms and streaming services to provide a mobile-friendly, interactive experience for next season. Dubflix and chill!

Indiana Pacers

The Pacers continued with the retro video game theme, with some help from the Power Pack and mascot Boomer.

Phoenix Suns

The Suns anticipated what NBA Twitter would react to for their season release, with a nod to Adrian Wojnarowski's draft day adjectives mixed in.

Charlotte Hornets

The Hornets apparently had their entire schedule wrapped up in a pack of trading cards.

San Antonio Spurs

You will probably never look at the tiles at the River Walk the same way after seeing San Antonio's upcoming slate.

Washington Wizards

The appreciation of NBA Jam started at the turn of this year, and it continues with Washington chiming in on every team's top two players for the season ahead. Never too early to put out a scouting report!

Minnesota Timberwolves

At the end of the day, every team is playing the same number of games.
