Ryan Braun leaves game with rib cage tightness

CHICAGO -- Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun left Wednesday's game against the Cubs with tightness on the right side of his rib cage.

Braun was removed for a pinch-hitter in the fifth inning of the Brewers' 8-4 loss at Wrigley Field. He went 0-for-2 a day after he homered twice in Milwaukee's 7-0 victory.

Hernan Perez batted for Braun and bounced into an inning-ending double play. Perez then stayed in the game in right field, and Christian Yelich moved from right to left to replace Braun.

Catcher Manny Pina also was removed from the game after he collided with Javier Baez while he was diving back to second in the seventh.

Pina stayed in after the play and scored on Mike Moustakas' single. But Erik Kratz took over behind the plate in the bottom half of the inning.
