Who said a two-loss team couldn't earn a spot in the top four?

After pulling off an upset of Alabama in the Iron Bowl, Auburn jumped to No. 2 in the fifth round of the College Football Playoff rankings. ESPN's Heather Dinich notes that the Tigers are the first two-loss team to be ranked in the top four.

Clemson took over the No. 1 spot this week, and Oklahoma rose one spot to No. 3. Undefeated Wisconsin made its first appearance in the playoff committee's top four, rounding out the current potential playoff field at No.4.

Most of the top-ranked teams have one more chance to boost or blemish their playoff résumés this weekend in their respective conference title games. And if the game results are anything like they were last weekend, the CFP committee could have some serious work to do ahead of Selection Day.
