The Cleveland Indians have secured their spot in the record book.
With a 5-3 victory over the Detroit Tigers on Wednesday, the Tribe tallied their 21st consecutive win to take sole possession of the American League's longest win streak.
Cleveland's Twitter account was quick to post celebratory messages and found a clever way to include win No. 21 in its bio. Soon, other teams all too familiar with impressive win streaks tweeted responses -- the Chicago Cubs, whose 1935 squad also won 21 straight games, and the Oakland Athletics, whose 2002 "Moneyball" squad set the previous American League mark.
