With the way the starting rotation is pitching, the Indians probably wish the playoffs would start tomorrow. Danny Salazar threw another gem with 10 K's and one run in seven innings, his fifth straight strong outing since returning from the DL. His changeup and slider continue to be huge weapons and he was still throwing 96 in his final inning. This is the best he's ever looked.

Don't look now, but Salazar is on fire

Danny Salazar is just 4-5 this year, and the Indians have lost each of his last two starts, but don't blame it on the righty. Salazar has allowed just four runs and struck out 36 in 25 1/3 innings over his last four starts.

Power Rankings: Indians slip a spot

With ongoing worries over Jason Kipnis' health added to Michael Brantley going to the DL, the Indians were wise to grab Jay Bruce to reinforce a lineup that has yet to really hit on all cylinders.
