Scene & Heard: Building on 2014

The Tennessee Volunteers have major needs at quarterback, cornerback and both lines in the 2015 class, with the trenches remaining at the top of the list as Tennessee tries to fight back to the top of the SEC East.

Here's a look at 10 linemen Butch Jones and his staff are targeting:

DT Sterling Johnson: Johnson is one of a quartet of Tar Heel State defensive linemen Tennessee has offered. North Carolina is considered the leader over, Alabama, Clemson, Tennessee, FSU, South Carolina, N.C. State and Miami. The facilities and fan support in Knoxville keep the Vols fresh in the mind of the versatile tackle.

DT Kahlil McKenzie: Strong at the point of attack, the California defensive tackle has Oklahoma, Tennessee, Notre Dame and USC at the top of his list with Florida and Miami in the mix. The Vols and Sooners stand a very good chance unless the home-state Trojans extend an offer.
