On Tuesday, head coach Ben McAdoo announced that Manning -- who has started every game for the Giants since the middle of the 2004 season -- will be benched and replaced by veteran Geno Smith. Rookie quarterback Davis Webb, a third-round pick, will also see some action over the team's final five games.
"Geno will start this week," McAdoo said in a statement. "Over the last five games, we will take a look at Geno, and we will also give Davis an opportunity."

The last time Manning didn't start was Nov. 14, 2004, when Kurt Warner was the signal-caller. Over the next 13 years, Manning would go on to become a four-time Pro Bowl selection and lead the Giants to two Super Bowl victories.
In 11 games this season, the 36-year-old has thrown for 2,411 yards, 14 touchdowns and 7 interceptions.
