The rebuilding Phillies announced there will be a change in the manager's seat in the Philadelphia dugout next season with Pete Mackanin not returning in the role.

Crasnick: The Phillies are well into their rebuilding phase and looking for someone who can grow with the team as it takes the final steps toward contending status.
If they want a fresh face with the potential to be the "next Joe Maddon,'' here are three interesting names: Former Phillies outfielder Raul Ibanez, who's a special assistant with the Dodgers (Ibanez was a finalist for the Tampa Bay Rays' job in 2014); MLB Network analyst and University of Pennsylvania grad Mark DeRosa; and Red Sox bench coach Gary DiSarcina, who previously worked on Mike Scioscia's staff in Anaheim when Matt Klentak, Philadelphia's general manager, was part of the Angels' front office.
