Fantasy hockey custom league playoff settings

ESPN

The following features are available for league managers to customize their league's playoff formats (via the web):

  • Reseed your playoffs automatically: Previously, playoff matchups in head-to-head leagues were locked in place at the end of the regular season, with the winner of the 1-8 matchup automatically playing the winner of the 4-5 matchup, for example. However, now you can choose to have those second-round meetings automatically adjusted so that the highest-remaining seed gets to play the lowest-remaining seed.

  • Set different matchup lengths during your playoffs: Do you want a one-week Round 1 and 2, followed by a two-week championship? You'll be able to tailor the timeline of your playoff matchups.

  • Limit transactions for non-playoff teams: While we all want fantasy managers to try their hardest to win at all times, we also don't want them to impact the championship after they've already been eliminated in the playoffs. Now, you can make sure that an 3-11 team isn't working the waiver wire and claiming the best free agents when their season is already over by restricting their ability to change their roster makeup.
