It wasn't very long ago when most fantasy football owners would have been happy having a quarterback who posted 17 points per game.
As things stand of late, that point production level would be far from acceptable. This was certainly true in the Week 13 contests, as 15 quarterbacks scored 20 or more points and six of those field generals posted 30 or more points.
What made this all the more frustrating for fantasy owners is that six of the quarterbacks with 20 or more points are owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN fantasy leagues. Combine that with the low-scoring pace of a number of upper-tier quarterbacks such as Philip Rivers (6), Derek Carr (13) and Eli Manning (13), and it means many fantasy owners are questioning whether they should trust their starting quarterback or should be considering bench or waiver options at the QB slot.
This week's Fantasy Foresight article aims to assist with this by identifying matchups and metrics that should lead to high-percentage, high-upside quarterback options among the QBs who fall into the question mark category over the next couple of weeks. It will also detail which of the high-scoring quarterbacks from Week 13 could see a production drop off down the playoff stretch.
