During the Chicago Bears' Monday night win over the San Diego Chargers, quarterback Jay Cutler targeted wide receiver Alshon Jeffery 16 times (10 receptions, 161 yards) and was 5-of-9 when throwing the ball to his No.1 guy on passes of more than 10 yards down the field.
Those are really good numbers, but it's also becoming a trend in Chicago with Jeffery back on the field. Over the past three weeks, Jeffery has been targeted at least 11 times in every game (42 total targets), racked up 414 yards receiving and produced a total of 52 fantasy points in standard scoring leagues.
Cutler is hot, playing some of his best football under Adam Gase, and Jeffery is finally providing the expected numbers for fantasy owners as a WR1 after returning from injury. However, as Jeffery and the Bears head into a brutal two-week stretch -- they take on tough defenses in the St. Louis Rams and Denver Broncos -- can this type of consistent production continue?
