Huskies' Shane Bowman not expected back until November

SEATTLE -- Washington Huskies senior defensive lineman Shane Bowman has broken a bone in his left foot and isn't expected to return before the Huskies' bye week in November, coach Chris Petersen said Saturday night.

"He'll be out for multiple weeks," Peterson said after the No. 11 Huskies' 35-7 win over BYU.

Bowman watched most of the game from the sidelines in his uniform with a medical boot on his foot. Sophomore Levi Onwuzurike started in Bowman's place and finished with two tackles, one for a loss.

The 6-foot-4, 291-pound Bowman has started all four games this season, totaling six tackles, including one sack and a forced fumble in the season opener against Auburn.

If Bowman doesn't return until after the Huskies' bye, the soonest he'd be able to return to the lineup would be Nov. 17 against Oregon State.
