Reuben Foster will tackle for cereal

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- During his weekly media scrum this week, San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster professed his love for breakfast cereal. More specifically, Foster has a particular affinity for Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

Foster told reporters that he consumes about three bowls per day, one big bowl, one small one and then another big bowl before the day is done. After, Niners Wire reporter Chris Biderman tweeted out the video of Foster talking about the cereal. From there, social media did its thing.

Soon enough, someone representing Cinnamon Toast Crunch on Twitter saw the video and offered a challenge to Foster.

It didn't take long for Foster to make like Barney Stinson and accept the challenge.

Three boxes for every tackle is a more than fair deal for Foster to load up on his favorite cereal. In the six games in which Foster has been healthy enough to play the majority of snaps, he has posted 50 tackles. That averages out to 8.3 tackles per game. If Foster continues at that pace, he'd earn 25 boxes per game over the next three contests for a total of 75 boxes of Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

Depending on just how big Foster's big bowl for cereal is, it should be enough to have him swimming in cereal for the foreseeable future.
