PHILADELPHIA -- Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz fought back tears as he watched his wife, Julie, celebrate from afar when she found out the Eagles were going to the Super Bowl.
The United States women's national soccer team was playing Denmark on Sunday in San Diego as the Eagles hosted the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship Game. Though her teammates' smiles during halftime told the tale, she didn't know for sure that the Eagles advanced to Super Bowl LII until after the United States' 5-1 win.
"I was kind of looking around for someone to give me confirmation and answers, and I feel like I needed it from at least like three people to make it feel real," Julie said. "Yeah, I just got super emotional."

So did Zach as he watched Julie's reaction from the Lincoln Financial Field locker room.

"Oh, man. That's emotional for me," Zach said, wiping away tears. "I wish she was here, obviously. It's tough not having her here, but I can't wait for her to get home and celebrate with us."
The two were able to connect and celebrate together on FaceTime.
"I'll call him a little bit later. He's going to celebrate with the boys and cheer," she said. "They're enjoying their moment tonight. But I know for them, it's back to business tomorrow."
