TEMPE, Ariz. – While Andre Smith’s role on the Arizona Cardinals’ offensive line is still to be determined, his two-year contract will be worth up to $8 million. Smith received a $2.585 million signing bonus, the only guaranteed money of his deal.

Here’s a breakdown of his contract by year, according to ESPN Stats & Information:

2018: Smith will earn $915,000 in base salary. He’ll be eligible for a roster bonus of $31,250 per game he’s active with a maximum value of $500,000. He’ll also be eligible for $1.1 million worth of not-likely-to-be-earned bonuses in regards to playing time and earning a Pro Bowl nod. His first-year compensation will equal $4 million.

Cap hit: $2,676,250

2019: Smith’s base salary will increase to $3 million – if he’s on the roster. He’ll receive a $500,000 roster bonus if he’s on the Cardinals on the third day of the 2019 league year. And like in 2018, he’ll be eligible for a roster bonus of $31,250 per game he’s active with a maximum value of $500,000 along with $1.1 million worth of not-likely-to-be-earned bonuses in regards to playing time and earning a Pro Bowl selection.
