Alaska hammers listless TNT behind Enciso's career night

Simon Enciso's career night helped propel the Alaska Aces to a 125-96 rout of the TNT KaTropa in the 2018 PBA Governors' Cup Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Enciso delivered 30 points on 9-of-12 shooting from downtown. His five 3-pointers in the first quarter set the tone for the Aces, who raced to a 21-5 start to the contest. The lead ballooned to as high as 37 points before they took home their second straight victory in as many outings.

"We were on fire. I mean, that's clearly typified by Simon Enciso. That was great, he was really incredible," said Alaska coach Alex Compton about the win.

Import Mike Harris dominated the glass with 24 rebounds on top of 16 points, while Vic Manuel finished with 18 points, eight boards, and two steals.

Alaska distributed the ball well as the team assisted on 33 of its 51 field goal makes. Fourteen of those dimes came from point guard Chris Banchero, who also contributed 15 points and six rebounds.

The Aces simply took control of the game from the get-go and never let up. By the end of three quarters, they already reached the 100-point mark and continued to pounce on the hapless KaTropa in the final quarter.

Import Stacy Davis topped for TNT with 26 points, 12 boards, and seven assists. Troy Rosario also dropped a double-double of 16 and 11, while Jayson Castro had 13 points and three assists.

The KaTropa absorbed their second consecutive loss that dropped them to a 1-3 slate.
