Alvin Pasaol thinking about joining upcoming PBA Draft

The UE Red Warriors' Alvin Pasaol, one of the most potent scorers in college basketball today, is considering applying for the upcoming 2018 PBA draft.

"I'm still thinking if I should go back to UE," Pasaol said in Filipino. "I hope I get to decide to come back. Right now, of course, I'm still tentative with what's going on right now."

On Sunday, after UE lost by 19 points to the FEU Tamaraws, Pasaol was once again the lone bright spot for the Red Warriors. The ever-reliable scorer racked up 24 points but only went 8-for-29 from the field to go along with 12 rebounds. He was the only UE player who reached double-figures in scoring, and this lack of support from the rest of the squad has been a recurring theme for the cellar-dwellers.

The 6-foot-3 Pasaol is currently averaging nearly 24 points a game and 10 rebounds, but the lowly Warriors have only won one game in 12 outings this season.

"That's what I'm thinking about - If I should already apply for the PBA draft," he shared. "That's what's been bothering me. Still, I don't let it affect my game."

"I haven't talked to them yet," he added, referring to his team. "But I'm already supposed to talk to them about that."

Pasaol, who is on his third playing year, is still eligible to play in the UAAP next season if he chooses to stay. If he decides to leave, that would mean that UE's two remaining games versus the Adamson Falcons and NU Bulldogs will be his final hurrah in college.

"I'm still going to score, that's not going to change. I'll probably be playing my last two games so I'm giving it my all," he said.
