UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor has not defended his title since defeating Eddie Alvarez on Nov. 12 2016 but his social media presence shows no signs of abating ahead of his trip to London for the British Fashion awards.

McGregor's future in the sport is in doubt, with UFC President Dana White last week stating there was no certainty the Irishman would fight again, and that came a month after McGregor pushed a judge at Bellator 187 after SBG Ireland teammate Charlie Ward won his bout.

McGregor mocked Max Holloway after his victory over Jose Aldo at the weekend. "I miss those sunglasses," he said beside a picture of Holloway with bruised eyes, to which the Hawaiian replied: Miss the sunglasses? I bet you also miss 2015 brother. Retired fighters love the past".

McGregor took to social media on Sunday reading an upside down newspaper on a jet with the caption "Don't read the paper. MAKE THE PAPER." Before adding another post on Monday which said: "I am excited and honoured to accompany miss [Donatella] Versace tonight as she is celebrated as the fashion queen she is."

Don't read the paper. MAKE THE PAPER.

It is the second time McGregor has posted a picture himself reading the newspaper upside down, with a post showing a similar image last year.
