Who had the best sneakers in the NBA All-Star Game?

With a black-and-white motif making for one of the more subtle uniforms in NBA All-Star Game history, the sneakers worn throughout the night stood out under the bright lights of Staples Center.

Both team captains, LeBron James and Stephen Curry, used the grand stage to showcase special editions of their newest signature shoes. James donned a new design of his Nike LeBron 15, featuring a detailed, floral, embroidery pattern throughout the shoe's knitted upper in collaboration with streetwear boutique store Kith.

Curry's All-Star edition of his fourth Under Armour sneaker took on a personal touch, honoring his wife Ayesha through a flushed-pink colorway. The color choice took inspiration from their first date years ago in Los Angeles, while the then-Davidson star was in town to attend the ESPYs.

"I got picked up in Ayesha's Astro Van from The Standard, and we went to Hollywood," Curry said with a laugh. "We took pictures with Marilyn Monroe, went to the wax museum, and we did some salsa dancing out in the pavilion on Hollywood Boulevard."

Throughout the game, several players turned heads with their vibrant sneakers. Compton native DeMar DeRozan enjoyed carrying the torch for Kobe Bryant's ongoing Nike "Protro" series, wearing a player-exclusive camouflage version of the initial 2006 Kobe model in red.

"It still trips me out," DeRozan said of getting his own exclusive Kobe shoes. "I grew up watching him and idolizing his game, then playing against him and playing in his last All-Star Game with him."

Fellow Team Stephen guard Damian Lillard also wore a camo-laden pair of sneakers, his signature Adidas Dame 4, featuring the iconic "Bape camo" from Japanese streetwear staple A Bathing Ape.

"I love the fact that as soon as people see it, they're going to recognize what the collab is," Lillard said.
