Eddie Jones has defended Owen Farrell after the co-captain came under criticism for a no-arms tackle on Izack Rodda during England's 37-18 victory over Australia Saturday.
Wallabies coach Michael Cheika called it a "ludicrous decision" not to penalise Farrell for the try-preventing tackle, saying that he thought it should have resulted in a penalty try.
However, referee Jaco Peyper just awarded the penalty and did not refer to the Television Match Official, claiming that Rodda had dipped his shoulder.
England head coach, Jones, has voiced his support for the Saracens player, stating that he has no reason to address Farrell's technique until the referee deems it a problem.
"The referee said it was good. When he says it's not good, we'll have a chat about it," said Jones.
"When you hit people hard, you place yourself at risk. And he hits people hard. I like people being hit hard. Obviously we want to be within the laws. Owen doesn't try to tackle outside of the laws so he'll keep on working on that."
It is the second time this autumn that Farrell's tackling technique has attracted controversy -- the first came for another "no-arms" tackle on South Africa's Andre Esterhuizen earlier this month, which helped England to narrow victory over the Springboks.
