He looks certain to wear a special Indigenous Wallabies jersey in Bledisloe I, but Kurtley Beale likes the look of the midfield options Australia have at their disposal for the Rugby Championship. (1:04)

Wallabies coach Michael Cheika has included 11 new faces in a 38-man training squad for the first two Bledisloe Cup games but there is no room for veteran playmaker Quade Cooper.

Cooper has been omitted alongside fellow Wallabies Rob Horne and Scott Higginbotham with Cheika looking to the future in naming a swag of new faces.

"One of the big things is for him (Cooper) to look he's enjoying his footy and getting out there and really being a competitor for that 10 jersey," Cheika said.

"We have had a talk about the reasons why and obviously a lot of that is around trying to get him back into the space where he can be that player that is going to get us around the park and do the stuff we want him to do.

"I don't feel like that has been happening. I really want to give him a clear picture of how to get back into he scene and out himself out here for selection."

Brumbies players were not included due to their looming Super Rugby quarterfinal with the Hurricanes in Canberra on Friday night.

"We have a lot of work to get done between now and August 19 when we play New Zealand in Sydney," Cheika said. "That work started in June, we tried to maintain some of that throughout the last rounds of Super Rugby and now we start to take it up a level."

"We want all of these guys to be very clear on what the trademarks are of the Wallabies game and then be equipped and ready to deliver it when asked to enter the arena for Australia, whether it's for five minutes or the whole 80 minutes of every Test this season.

"That is what our objective will be over the next couple of weeks and I can't wait to get stuck into it."

Several Western Force players have been rewarded for their strong finish to the season with Bill Meakes, Curtis Rona and New Zealand-born Jermaine Ainsley all set for their first Wallabies experience.

The Reds' Sef Fa'agase, Adam Korczyk, Izack Rodda and Campbell Magnay are also joining an Australian camp for the first time.
