All Blacks vs. British & Irish Lions: How the hosts rated in third Test

The All Blacks' rookies made strong impressions in the first half of the third Test before the Lions pegged their way back to force a 15-15 draw at Eden Park.

Here is how those in black rated in Auckland.

Jordie Barrett: 8/10

Provided the tap down for opening try before he crossed himself after picking up the final pass from Lienert-Brown. Showed no signs of nerves on his first start, and was excellent in the air. One kick out on full his only mistake on an excellent first run-on start.

Israel Dagg: 7/10

Chased hard and was sound on the defensive high ball. Tried to get into the game where he could and was virtually mistake-free.

Anton Lienert-Brown 6.5/10

Superb take from Laumape offload and then found Jordie Barrett with a beautiful ball for game's second try. Looked dangerous in what limited ball came his way.

Ngani Laumape: 7/10

Was there in support after Barrett intercept and was again on spot for Jordie Barrett tap-down for game's opening try. The All Blacks wouldn't have scored their second had it not been for an audacious offload in contact. Hands did let him down at times but a solid enough showing in his first start.

Julian Savea: 6.5/10

Dropped first ball with try line beckoning but confidence came back with strong charge after Barrett cross-kick. Didn't see a helluva lot of ball, but still hardest man to tackle in world rugby at full tilt.

Beauden Barrett: 6.5/10

Made key intercept that denied Lions a try, and then cross-kick for game's opening try. Always looked dangerous and combined nicely with brother Jordie on occasions. Will be disappointed with his goal kicking.

Aaron Smith: 7/10

Service as slick as usual but no real signs of his running game, which Lions have limited all series. Was an excellent exit option once more, often clearing for 20 or more metres.

Joe Moody: 7/10

Applied great pressure on Lions scrum ball and got through a chunk of work on defence.

Codie Taylor: 6.5/10

All Blacks lineout a bit of a mess early, though not entirely his fault. Couldn't quite impose himself on the carry unlike the first two Tests.

Owen Franks: 7/10

Just like Moody, key in ensuring Lions' scrum ball was shaky for first 50 minutes. Defensively busy with seven tackles and no misses.

Brodie Retallick: 6.5/10

A couple of nice first-half charges, one in particular of some sloppy lineout ball. Not as busy on defence this week, though.

Sam Whitelock: 6/10

Again shaded by Retallick on the carry but still looked to upset Lions' breakdown ball and made his tackles.

Jerome Kaino: 5.5/10

Produced a couple of thumping hits but then earned himself a yellow card with one that caught Alun Wyn Jones on the chin.

Sam Cane: 7/10

Led the All Blacks' tackle count, until he was replaced, once more with 10. Was always a threat at ruck time and his best game of the series on the carry, too.

Kieran Read: 7/10

Fought a running battle with referee Romain Poite over Lions' offside line and lineout gap. But again carried strongly and worked hard in defence. A warrior in his 100th Test.
