Daley headlines Team GB synchro diving team for Paris 2024

Tom Daley will compete at his fifth Olympic Games this summer as Team GB on Tuesday announced its synchronised diving squad for Paris 2024.

Daley is reigning Olympic champion in the 10-metre synchro event alongside Matty Lee. In Paris, Daley will defend his title with a different partner -- Noah Williams -- with whom he won silver at the Aquatics World Championship in Doha, Qatar in February.

Daley famously made his Olympic debut at 14 years old at Beijing 2008. He won his first Olympic medal at London 2012 -- a bronze in the individual 10m event. He added another bronze at Rio 2016 in the synchronised 10m event alongside Daniel Goodfellow, but finally won gold at Tokyo 2020.

Two-time European champion Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix will also compete in Paris in the 10m event.

Meanwhile, Jack Laugher, who won gold in the synchronised 3m springboard event at Rio 2016, will return for his fourth Games, alongside parter Anthony Harding.

Team GB Chef de Mission Mark England said in a statement: "There is also a fantastic mix of youth and experience within the squad, and I am delighted to welcome Olympic Champions Jack and Tom back to Team GB for a fourth and fifth Games respectively. Congratulations to Tom in particular who becomes the first British diver to compete at five Olympic Games, a remarkable achievement."
