Scout's best from Charlotte

The Opening Charlotte Regional produced nine invitations to the finals. Here are some of the top performances and observations from Saturday's event:

Hardman makes it look easy

Expectations were high for Mecole Hardman, the No. 2 athlete in the ESPN 300. The four-star didn't disappoint earning an Opening invite and had arguably the top overall performance of the day. Hardman can be utilized in multiple ways and showed great promise as a cornerback. At the regional camp, Hardman worked out with the wide receivers and demonstrated tremendous ability at that position as well. He was fast and fluid and tough to cover in one-on-ones. Throughout the day displayed soft hands and seemed to catch everything thrown his way. A natural and instinctive player, Hardman demonstrates that he can be a playmaking presence on either side of the ball.
