Raiders' Charles Woodson, Khalil Mack and Marcel Reece selected to Pro Bowl

SELECTIONS

Charles Woodson, S, ninth Pro Bowl selection: Woodson is going out on top after announcing Monday he is retiring after this season, his 18th. A future Hall of Famer, Woodson has been terrific this season, and at 39, he is deserving of this choice. Woodson earned a $250,000 incentive for making the Pro Bowl, according to ESPN's Field Yates. He has 52 tackles, five interceptions and three fumble recoveries. He might be leaving the game, but he's leaving on his terms.

Khalil Mack, DE, first Pro Bowl selection: It will be the first of many Pro Bowl selections for Mack. He took his game to the next level in his second NFL season and leads the NFL with 15 sacks. He has 10 sacks in the past four games, including five in the second half in an upset win at Denver. His play against the Broncos was perhaps the best individual defensive performance of the NFL season.

Marcel Reece, FB, fourth Pro Bowl selection: Frankly, this is one of the reputation selections. This is Reece's fourth straight Pro Bowl selection at a position that is not overly used in the NFL. While he has served a purpose and is a good player, it's difficult to say he has been an impact player this season. He has 38 touches, and Jamize Olawale has taken some playing time away from Reece this year. The NFL has to take two fullbacks to the Pro Bowl, and Reece is a known quantity, so the beat goes on.
