The Seattle Storm's Sue Bird played her 500th career game Sunday to set the WNBA record for games played.

The milestone came in the Storm's 87-74 loss to the Dream in Atlanta. Bird finished with 12 points, 6 assists and 2 rebounds.

She tweeted a thank you for all the congratulations she received on the milestone.

Bird broke a tie with DeLisha Milton-Jones (499) to set the mark.

Bird, who was selected to her record 11th All-Star Game last week, is already the all-time WNBA assists leader, breaking that record last September.
