Serbia's Aleksandra Krunic came back from a set and a break down against Belgian Kirsten Flipkens to take her first WTA Title at the Libema Open in Hertogenbosch.

The world No. 55 came through 6-7 (0), 7-5, 6-1 to add the singles title to the doubles success she achieved at the Netherlands event in 2016.

Both players saw their serves broken in a nervous start to the match. Flipkens -- playing in her second singles final at Rosmalen -- found a crucial break at 5-4 to save the first set before taking it to a tie-break.

The Belgian was then dominant, winning seven points on the bounce to take the first set.

Krunic looked to be in deep trouble when she was broken early in the second but she broke back mid-way through to even the scores.

As both players struggled to hold serve Krunic broke in three consecutive games and managed to save a crucial break point at 5-5 to force a decider.

In the third Krunic was comfortable, winning eight points in a row in the first two games and securing a second break before serving out for the match.

For Flipkens it was a repeat of the disappointment she suffered at the grass court championships in 2013 when she lost in straight sets to new French Open champion Simona Halep.

But Krunic is looking up the rankings towards a career-high in the build-up to Wimbledon.
