Three-time Grand Slam winner Andy Murray has fallen outside the men's world top 20 for the first time in nearly 12 years.

Murray, who has previously won Wimbledon twice, is currently recovering from surgery on a long-standing hip injury with his inactivity causing his slide to world No.21, a position he has not held since Aug. 2006.

The two-time Olympic champion broke into the top 100 back in Sept. 2005 and held the world No. 1 spot between Nov. 2016 and Aug. 2017.

He now finds himself just one place below Spain's Albert Ramos-Vinolas in the latest ATP rankings, and seven behind No. 14 Novak Djokovic.

Murray hasn't played competitive tennis since last year's Wimbledon, where he was eliminated by Sam Querrey.
