Federer's win against Marton Fucsovics in the fourth round was only the second time he faced a Hungarian player in 72 main draw appearances at a major. Interestingly, Federer's first match against a Hungarian player was against Attila Savolt at the 2002 Australian Open. Savolt is now serving as Fucsovics' coach.
