Kenya win Safland Sevens title in Namibia

The Kenya Sevens side beat a South Africa Select team 19-12 to lift the 2017 Safland Sevens title in Swakopmund, Namibia on Saturday evening.

According to Kenya Rugby website, Sammy Oliech's converted try saw Shujaa go 7-0 up, before former Western Province wing Willy Ambaka scored to give the Kenyan team a 12-0 lead in to the break of the cup final.

Sam Muregi's converted try in between two tries and a conversion from SA Select handed Shujaa the title,19-12 at the final whistle.

Earlier in the day, Kenya beat South Africa's Bulls before falling 21-24 to SA Select. They would then defeat Namibia Academy 26-0 in their semi-final before turning the tables on SA Select in the cup final.
