Tendai Mtwarira 7/10: The Beast was solid without being spectacular. Tackled well and held his own the scrum. However, he needs to start looking over his shoulder, as the youngsters are knocking on the door.
Malcolm Marx 7: The hooker wasn't as prominent as he was up in Pretoria, but was still a big part of the Boks' physical effort. Not only is he powerful with ball in hand and on defence, he is also great ball stealer.
Frans Malherbe 7: The Stormers tighthead was steady in the scrum, but it was in the tight-loose where he made his mark. Malherbe made a lot of tackles on the night and won a breakdown penalty in the first half.
Eben Etzebeth 7: Etzebeth carried the ball with a lot of venom and also contributed heavily to the Boks' physicality on defence. Wasn't used as much in the lineouts during the second Test.
Franco Mostert 7: The Lions man was again busy around the park and was at the centre of the Boks' improved display at lineout time. Mostert has a very big engine and his contributions in this series have been top class.
Siya Kolisi 9: The only reason the big Bok flank didn't get a perfect score was because of a high tackle late in the match. Otherwise he was simply outstanding. He carried strongly, tackled everything that moved, stole ball at the breakdown, created a try and scored one of his own.
Oupa Mohoje: The Cheetahs flank was concussed early in the first half.
Warren Whiteley 8: The captain's stamp is on this team is already visible. The Boks are playing with a spirit that was lacking over the last two years. It also helps when that he is playing some wonderful rugby himself.
Ross Cronje 7: The scrumhalf's service was pretty good, while his kicking game was also a lot sharper. His combination with Jantjies is growing with each passing week.
Elton Jantjies 8: Jantjies has finally transferred his Super Rugby form into the Test arena. The flyhalf has always had the talent, but he needed to believe that he can perform at this level. He is coming of age in this series.
Courtnall Skosan 7: The ball didn't come his way in this match, but he also didn't do anything wrong. Made a few lovely runs and his work rate was really good.
Jan Serfontein 8: He was a bit quiet in the first half of the first Test, but he put in one of his best performances in a Springbok shirt in Durban. He rounded off a wonderful team try and tackled his heart out. Lionel Mapoe 7: Didn't have a lot of chances with the ball in his hand, but he was fantastic on defence. Mapoe is a natural attacking player, but he showed that he can do the dirty work as well.
Raymond Rhule 7: There is no doubt that the Ghanaian-born is a special attacking talent, but his one-on-one defence is letting him down in the wider channels. But he made up for those lapses with nice scrambling.
Andries Coetzee 7: The fullback was solid on the night and didn't a mistake during another composed performance. Always looking add some spark to the Springboks' attack.
Replacements
Bongi Mbonambi 7: Made a few big hits towards the end of the game.
Steven Kitshoff 7: This kid is going to start for the Boks sooner rather than later.
Coenie Oosthuizen 8: Oosthuizen scored a top try by running and even better angle.
Pieter-Steph du Toit 7: Made a couple of brutal carries.
Jean-Luc du Preez 8: Replaced Mohoje after 15 minutes and really made his mark in the physical stakes. Carried well and led the charge in the Boks' defensive effort.
Francois Hougaard 7: Showed his attacking instincts by speeding up the play.
Frans Steyn 7: Didn't quite get a chance to attack, but didn't let the side down when he came on.
Dillyn Leyds: Not enough time on the field to be rated.
