Bracket projection: South Dakota State

The South Dakota State Jackrabbits three-peated as Summit League champs with a 97-87 victory over South Dakota in the league's championship final. It marks the fifth time in seven years the Jackrabbits are in the Field of 68. The first set of NCAA invites were fueled by Nate Wolters, a 2013 second-round pick of the Washington Wizards, while the centerpiece of these last three trips has been 6-9 junior Mike Daum, a scoring machine with 2,000-plus career points. The Jackrabbits fought hard against Maryland in the 2016 NCAAs, losing by five points, but were outclassed by top-seeded Gonzaga last March in a 20-point loss. Will the third time be the charm for coach T.J. Otzelberger and his merry band of 3-point bombers?

ESPN Insider has your answers, as Joe Lunardi has enlisted a team of bracketologists to compile advanced metrics, key scouting intel and best- and worst-case tournament scenarios for all 68 teams to help you make smart picks in your bracket.
