Thomas Bjorn's Europe side found themselves one point behind after the completion of day one of the EurAsia Cup with his side struggling to dominate the fourballs.
Europe, who started the day trailing in four of the six matches, managed to calm proceedings and turn things around by eventually finishing the day trailing by just one point. Asia ended the day with 3.5 points opposed to Europe's 2.5.
European No.1 Tommy Fleetwood, who was paired with Paul Casey, claimed a 4 & 3 victory over Byeong Hun An and Kiradech Aphibarnrat.
The English duo were the only European pair to be leading to begin with after going one point ahead in match one.
Yuga Ikeda and Gavin Green claimed an impressive win over 2016 Ryder Cup players Thomas Pieters and Matthew Fitzpatrick 2 & 1.
The European pair struggled to find their rhythm and eventually succumbed to defeat against the world No. 36 and No. 179 Asian opponents.
Alex Noren and Paul Dunne also lost against Hideo Tanihara and Phachara Khongwatmai by two shots putting Asia in comfortable position.
The Asian dominance continued on as Sunghoon Kang and Poom Saksansin claimed an impressively dominant 5 & 4 win over strong pairing Henrik Stenson and Alexander Levy.
Bernd Wiesberger and Rafa Cabrera Bello did manage to settle the nerves by halving their fourball match against Nicholas Fung and Haotong Li.
And in the final game of the day, Ross Fisher and Tyrrell Hatton made the scoreline look far more respectable as they obtained a comfortable 5 & 4 victory over Anirban Lahiri and SSP Chawrasia.
