Who is the only male golfer to win an event on the Ladies' PGA Tour in America? Keith Jenkins, England

Remarkably, there actually is an answer to this question...

In 1962, the Ladies' PGA Tour included the Royal Poinciana Plaza Invitational tournament, on a development in Palm Beach.

Sam Snead, who ended his career with 82 victories on the regular American Tour -- more than anyone else -- received a special invitation to take part, and ended up winning by five strokes! He's the only man to win an event on the LPGA Tour.

Snead won around $2,000 for his victory, but apparently needed the cash -- during the tournament one of the lady golfers apparently ran his boat aground, causing some damage to the hull.

This was the second and last year of this particular event. In 1961 Snead was among several male participants, but that time it was won by a woman player, Louise Suggs.
