Fabio Quagliarella is set to leave Juventus to return to Torino, the club where he began his professional career.

Quagliarella, 31, will move for a three million euro fee on a three-year deal on Friday, according to Tuttosport.

The man who launched his career with Torino in Serie B in 2005, Ezio Rossi, says Quagliarella is just what Torino need, and likened the striker to the man he will replace in the Toro attack, Ciro Immobile.

"They are both quite similar," he told the club's official website. "He makes the same kind of runs as a striker and has a powerful shot. And knowing him like I do, I think he will still have the very same desire even today, at the age of 30.

"Following the departure of Immobile, Torino needed a big-name signing, and with Quagliarella, they've no doubt got that."

Torino will also find out their opponents in the third qualifying round of the Europa League on Friday.
