Iker Casillas continued his support of under-fire Loris Karius with a video compilation of his own worst errors, accompanied by the message: everyone makes mistakes.
The fPorto goalkeeper, who has won numerous trophies with Real Madrid and Spain, initially tweeted a defence of Karius, whose nightmare preseason continued on the back of his two high-profile errors in the Champions League final, insisting the attacks on the German need to stop following a blunder in the 3-1 loss to Borussia Dortmund in the International Champions Cup.

But Casillas then went even further by tweeting videos of his own mistakes, which include errors in Champions League finals and World Cups, as well as the Madrid derby and Portugal's fiercest fixture between Porto and Benfica. And, while on this occasion he doesn't mention Karius by name, it is clear who the message was intended for.
The 50-second clip comes with the caption: "Behind each one of us is a person. Raise your hand whoever has never made a mistake. Learning from mistakes makes us stronger and accepting them more human. #Ialsomakemistakes."
It is a touching gesture from the trophy-laden goalkeeper -- with a World Cup, two European Championships and five Spanish league championships among his collection of titles.
Nice to see social media used to send a positive message for a change.
