India vs Australia, Hockey Live: Match 2 Score, updates, commentary

The Indian men's hockey team takes on Australia in their second match, looking to bounce back from a crushing 1-5 in the first of the five-match series on Saturday.

The tour of Australia was meant to finetune preparations for the Paris Olympic Games but it got off to a terrible start as Craig Fulton's were slow and Australia took advantage right from the off. India were making basic errors - with plenty of misplaced passes and mistraps while under no pressure. The break did not seem to help as the game truly went away from the Indians in the third quarter.

Now, the task is to shake off the slump and get back into the thick of things to fix the errors of Saturday. It'll be easier said than done given the confidence boost Australia have gotten in the first match. Already they are a formidable opponent and at home, even stronger. To get such a big win in the start was the foundation they needed and makes things even tougher for India.

Bur for a team looking to finish on the podium again at the Olympics, India has to overturn the deficit and score more goals on Sunday.
