Marcus Ericsson escaped serious injury after hitting a "big chicken" while cycling in Thailand as part of a training camp between races.
Ericsson travelled to Thailand after the Singapore Grand Prix to take part in a week-long training camp, but on his return to the F1 paddock in Malaysia revealed that he had been involved in a bicycle accident.
"Arrived in KL today!" he wrote on Twitter. "As some of you've read I had an accident on the bicycle in Thailand. Lucky to get away with only bruises and scratches."
He then posted images of his injuries and the damage to his bicycle before confirming that the chicken had also survived the accident.
