Atlanta Reign's dafran rejoins Overwatch roster

Daniel "dafran" Francesca reversed course yet again, saying he is not quitting the Overwatch League and is still a member of the Atlanta Reign.

dafran tweeted Wednesday that he had ended his contract with the expansion franchise and was walking away from Overwatch. He apologized a day later, saying he made a "dumb" mistake and is focused on becoming a better player.

"Still in ATL Reign, didnt quit like I said," dafran tweeted Thursday. "I messed up, dont know what to say except sorry to the community, my fans and ATL. It wasnt jebait, sometimes I have these days and make dumb mistakes. Going forward im going to stream less and focus on making myself and my team better."

Dafran was officially announced as part of the Reign's expansion roster on Oct. 31, but the popular streamer tweeted Wednesday that he ended his contract and was quitting the game altogether. He also removed all mention of the Reign from his Twitter account.

"The end. I hate the game," dafran tweeted Wednesday. "Thought I could love it again and have passion but its impossible, I always end up soft throwing. Contract ended, Overwatch uninstalled, Mcdonalds here I come. For real though thanks for everything u have given me OW Community."

He tweeted on Oct. 28 about joining the Reign that he was "very excited for this, gonna be great."

The Reign's expansion roster does not include a single player who competed for one of the teams in the inaugural season of the OWL. The team instead focused on recruiting from various Overwatch Contenders scenes.
