I May on the board with win over Snake

Provided by Riot Games

I May fans rejoiced as it found its first win of the League of Legends Pro League 2017 Summer Split during on Week 3, Day 3 with a 2-1 victory over Snake Esports in Shanghai on Saturday.

Snake Esports (1-4, 3-9 match record) had a great start to Game 1, using its tanky top half of the map to pick up first blood in a flawless tower dive in the top lane. Jungler Le "SofM" Quang Duy was a monster on Jarvan IV, relentlessly running I May down as Snake snowballed, taking the bottom lane inhibitor before 15 minutes in a Rift Herald-aided push. I May held on, though, stalling the game with its siege composition and preventing Snake from pushing its 8,000-gold lead at 21 minutes. Despite taking a 3-for-1 and Baron kill at 24 minutes, Snake was again stuffed in I May's base as it took a 5-for-1 ace off of clean teamfighting from AD carry Xie "Jinjiao" Jin-Shan's Caitlyn. Securing a 32-minute Baron for itself, I May completed the miraculous comeback off of Jinjiao's 7/2/8 KDA (kills/deaths/assists) for 100 percent kill participation to take Game 1 in 36 minutes.

I May (1-4, 3-9 match record) came into Game 2 with a strong siege composition, but Snake's vengeance was swift as SofM's Lee Sin picked up first blood at six minutes. Snake took a big lead after mid laner Liu "Zz1tai" Zhi-Hao's Kassadin got a couple of kills, building a 3-to-0 tower lead and 6,000-gold lead at 18 minutes. Running over I May's double support composition, Snake took a Baron at 23 minutes on the back of a Zz1tai triple kill, using the buff to take down the top and middle lane inhibitors to grow its gold lead. Snake obliterated I May with a final 5-for-0 ace at 28 minutes, adding to Zz1tai's 6/0/11 KDA for 89 percent kill participation, ending a perfect Game 2 in just 28 minutes.

Both teams took 1-3-1 splitpushing compositions into Game 3, but this time it was I May jungler Sung "Flawless" Yeon-jun's Gragas that took over the early game, giving top laner Shek "AmazingJ" Wai Ho's Camille first blood at three minutes. While Snake managed to comeback and take a 2,000-gold lead by the 15-minute mark, I May pulled even by 25 minutes before Flawless took over. Snake Esports started a Baron rush at 25 minutes, but Flawless stole the kill away and led I May to a 2-for-0 follow up fight. Using the buff to take down Snake's defenses, I May knocked down all of Snake's inhibitors by the 33-minute mark when Snake went for a final desperation Baron attempt. Flawless came through again with another steal as AmazingJ teleported into Snake's base to join a tsunami of super minions and finish Game 3 in 33 minutes.

I May will next face Newbee on Friday at 5 a.m. ET, while Snake Esports take on JD Gaming on Saturday at 2 a.m. ET.
