Longzhu Gaming put away Ever8 Winners in a quick 2-0 sweep to close out Week 4, Day 1 of League of Legends Champions Korea play in Seoul, South Korea.

Longzhu Gaming's team composition in Game 1 was full of comfort picks in a midgame teamfighing composition, while Ever8 Winners (1-6, 5-12 match record) drafted a potent teamfighting composition of its own featuring mid laner Park "Cepted" Wi-rim on Orianna. The first 20 minutes were quiet as both teams played conservatively, allowing Longzhu (5-2, 12-5 match record) to build a small lead through CS (creep score) advantages.

Longzhu took full control of the game after slaying the Baron at the 25-minute mark without any threat from Ever8, due to the entire team's poor position across the map. Longzhu knocked down an inhibitor, but Ever8 kept Longzhu from ending until a teamfight in the mid lane at the 34-minute mark started off close, but eventually turned into an ace in Longzhu's favor. Cepted, unable to make an impact after a hot start to the split, did little more than watch as Longzhu marched down the mid lane, ending the game before Ever8 respawned to take an easy Game 1 win and go up 1-0 in the series.

Game 2 saw Longzhu stick to a similar type of comfortable teamfighting composition, with AD carry Kim "PraY" Jong-in locking in Ashe and support Kang "GorillA" Beom-hyeon locking in Thresh, while Ever8 brought early/midgame picks to snowball into strong late teamfighting.

Early kills for Longzhu mid laner Gwak "Bdd" Bo-seong's Galio and company led to a 3,300-gold lead at the 15-minute mark. Longzhu spent the next five minutes asserting its dominance across the map, creating an opportunity to secure an early Baron just as it spawned. The setup paid off, as the Baron buff allowed Longzhu to push down every lane and demolish EEW structures. Longzhu closed the game out quickly after taking a mid lane push and winning a 4-for-0 teamfight, completing the 2-0 sweep in a quick 26 minutes.

Ever8 Winners will play its next series against KT Rolster on Thursday at 5 a.m. ET. Longzhu Gaming takes on Afreeca Freecs on Sunday at 8 a.m. ET.
