Stunt to join Immortals as sub, sources say

Former Phoenix1 support William "Stunt" Chen will join North American League of Legends team Immortals as an active, live-in substitute, sources close to the player and team told ESPN.

Stunt will presumably split time with Kim "Olleh" Joo-sung, the team's current support, who joined the organization in December. The move will be the second reported roster adjustment for the Immortals squad this offseason, with sources telling ESPN the first is the transfer of Counter Logic Gaming jungler Jake "Xmithie" Puchero joining the team, possibly marking the end of the team's time with jungler Joshua "Dardoch" Harnett, as reported Tuesday.

Stunt left his former team, Phoenix1, on Monday, when the team announced his departure on Facebook due to another opportunity with another League Championship Series team. His Phoenix1 permanent replacement is currently uncertain, but the team still has rookie support Jordan "Shady" Robison under contract.

Prior to competing with Phoenix1, Stunt was a live-in sub for Team Dignitas. Phoenix1 then bought out the player from his Team Dignitas contract in March following it moving its support Adrian "Adrian" Ma to Team Liquid. Prior to competing with Dignitas and Phoenix1, Stunt competed on various teams in the League of Legends Challenger Series, including Team Liquid Academy and Team Ember.

Immortals did not respond to requests for comment.
