Multigame esports organization Team Dignitas, owned by the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers, announced the signing of a new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive squad on Monday.

The lineup consists of coach Faruk "Pita" Pita, formerly of Ninjas in Pyjamas and Counter Logic Gaming; former FaZe members Ricardo "fox" Pacheco from Portugal, Mikail "Maikelele" Bill from Sweden and Jaocim "jkaem" Myrbostad from Norway; and Norwegian Ruben "RUBINO" Villarroel, who will be leaving the Danish team, North.

"As we promised, we are returning to CS:GO in a big way, with two outstanding teams, elite players and incredible personalities," Team Dignitas president Michael "ODEE" O'Dell said in a news release. "Signing this incredible team of players is just another step in the new foundation we are building for this legendary franchise."

Team Dignitas parted ways with its Danish CS:GO team in December 2016, which included Rubino at the time.

"There were quite a few months where my performance and traveling schedule was so intense that I didn't have a moment to sit down and think," Rubino told ESPN. "When I decided to leave North I finally had that time to think about myself and what I wanted to accomplish, and I knew Team Dignitas was the place to achieve those goals.

"Team Dignitas and their fans have always been good to me; this was an incredible opportunity to return to the team and compete alongside an elite group of teammates."

Pita will be the in-game leader and rifler, while fox takes up team captain duties and second AWPer. Maikelele will be the primary AWPer, jkaem will join Pita in the rifler role and Rubino comes in as the entry fragger. Rubino was part of the Epicenter 2016 win in Moscow last October for Team Dignitas, when the squad beat out teams like Fnatic, Natus Vincere and Virtus.pro.

"This is an extraordinary group of players. They are players that have been playing at the highest level of CS:GO for quite a while," Rubino said. "I think that they are all motivated and willing to do whatever it takes to be a top contender. We are eager to see how we will perform together as a new squad under the Team Dignitas banner."

The new team will make its competitive debut in Season 3 of the Esports Championship Series (ECS), now exclusively to be broadcast on YouTube, later this year.

Last February Team Dignitas signed former Selfless Gaming's all-female CS:GO team, making this the second CS:GO signing in two months for Dig.
